The last time we saw Yanal Ashmouz, he was also fighting at the O2 arena in London as an underdog against a fighter from the United Kingdom, back in March at UFC 286. In that fight, he knocked Sam Patterson out so badly in the first round that it seemed to take Patterson several minutes to realize that the fight was over after he got back to his feet. Ashmouz is fighting against Chris Duncan, who also won at UFC 286. While both of these fighters have the ability to score an early finish, Ashmouz is currently coming in at less than half the projected ownership of Duncan (17% vs 35%). I’ll take the ownership and salary discount on Ashmouz and hope the Israeli fighter can make it two early victories in a row in London.
