Welcome to the weekend and to SquirrelPatrol’s Takedowns for UFC Fight Night: Hermansson vs. Pyfer. This card is being held at the UFC APEX in Las Vegas, and with fourteen fights on the slate this is our second consecutive week with a big card. It isn’t the highest-level fight night, as the UFC has saved many bigger fights for the upcoming pay-per-view events, but it should be a fun card with the possibility of some high scores and some intriguing fighters making their debut as well. Let’s dig into the slate and see if we can find some overlooked picks to help us take down a GPP this weekend.

Jack Hermansson is the much older fighter here, but that is reflected in his win odds (+200) and his price. He still has a 33% implied probability of winning this fight, and while his early finish odds aren’t strong, he has a history of 90 or more DK point wins, even in decisions. Hermansson has volume on the feet and can score grappling points as well. If he can get the win- especially if it goes five rounds- Hermansson has a strong chance of landing on the winning lineup at his value price.
