Welcome to the weekend and to SquirrelPatrol’s Takedowns for UFC Fight Night – Lemos vs. Jandiroba. This card is taking place back in the UFC APEX in Las Vegas, and it’s a card that makes me annoyed at myself for using up all of my adjectives for “mediocre” and “low-level” when describing last week’s card. A number of the fighters on this card have spotty records, and with new fighters likely to be added to the UFC roster after the upcoming Dana White Contender Series, some of the fighters are fighting to retain their roster spot. The main event features a bout between Amanda Lemos vs. Virna Jandiroba in a women’s strawweight matchup that is scheduled for 5 rounds. This card features more toss-up fights than I can remember seeing on a UFC card, and no fighter is a massive favorite.
