Welcome to the weekend and to SquirrelPatrol’s Takedowns for UFC Fight Night: Ribas vs. Namajunas. This card is being held in the APEX in Las Vegas with a limited crowd, and with every fighter making weight on Friday, all 13 fights are on for Saturday. This is one of the more interesting cards for odds that we’ve seen in a while – it’s the first card in at least a year with no favorite holding odds of -250 or stronger and no fighter has better than +250 odds of a first-round win. With the slate wide-open from an odds perspective, let’s see if we can find some overlooked fighters to help us take down a GPP this weekend.

FanDuel: $14

Justin Tafa switched fights with his brother over the past month, when the younger Junior Tafa stepped in for Justin’s fight last month against Marcos Rogerio de Lima. The older Tafa is returning the favor on this card, and now faces Karl Williams as a +150 underdog in his brother’s place. Tafa is priced at just $6,900 on DraftKings, and his 38% implied odds for a victory are good for his price, but his early win odds are even better for the price at +300 (24% implied probability). Tafa is a boom-or-bust fighter who might not offer much after the first round, but he could break the slate with one punch if Williams has trouble taking Tafa down.
