Welcome to the weekend and to SquirrelPatrol’s Takedowns for UFC Fight Night: Tuivasa vs. Tybura. This card is being held back in the APEX in Las Vegas with a limited crowd, and it’s a big step down from the star-heavy UFC 299 event we saw last Saturday. A number of the fighters on this card are nearing the end of the contract and/or coming off of losses, but the unknown nature of some of the fighters is something we can use to our advantage. I think it’s a particularly good card for underdogs, so let’s dig into the slate and see if we can find some overlooked fighters to help us take down a GPP this weekend.

Ange Loosa
DraftKings: $7,600
FanDuel: $12

Ange Loosa is a +150 underdog in his fight against Bryan Battle, but like a number of fighters priced in this range, his nearly 40% implied odds of picking up the win are historically good for his $7,600 price tag on DraftKings. That price looks even better considering he has scored very well in his UFC wins, putting up 115 or more DK points in his two decision victories. Not many fighters can consistently put up over 100 DK points in three-round decisions, giving Loosa an excellent chance to land on the winning lineup at his price in any kind of win.
