UFC Fight Night: Holloway vs. Allen

The combat sports leader makes its return to Kansas City, Missouri six years to the day since the last time the organization brought the octagon to town. There may be no title fight at the top of the bill this time around, but the UFC is trotting out perennial star and fan favorite Max “Blessed” Holloway to showcase the fantastic UFC featherweight division and the unheralded contender that is Arnold “Almighty” Allen.

Lucie Pudilova vs. Joselyne Edwards

Fight Odds: -135 Pudilova vs. +115 Edwards
Weight Class: 135lb. (Women’s Bantamweight)

Lucie Pudilova began her second stint with the Ultimate Fighting Championship with a bang, securing a TKO finish of Wu Yanan after a dominant opening stanza. Pudilova left the UFC to work on her boxing, wrestling, and grappling, and it appears her investment of time has paid off.

Joselyne Edwards has remained just above water in the UFC posting a 60% win rate through her first five showings. Edwards has fought bottom tier competition in her wins and losses. Pudilova has been more tested against higher level foes, but she will lack some of the range tools that Edwards has. It will come down to Pudilova’s improving wrestling game and Edwards’ lack of coherent takedown defense.

Prediction: Lucie Pudilova defeats Joselyne Edwards via TKO2/3

Gaston Bolanos vs. Aaron Phillips
