This weekend, we head to Chicagoland Speedway for the eero 400. The race is Sunday at 6pm ET on TNT. This is the first time since 2019 the Cup Series has run at Chicagoland Speedway. This track was home to the famous Kyle Larson and Kyle Busch slide job last lap battle. This isn’t the same track we were used to in 2019. There is a lot of fall off with the track patches creating big bumps. There was a tire test here in April, which was done by Kyle Larson, Ryan Blaney, and Denny Hamlin, which just happened to be some of the fastest cars from practice on Friday. This is the same tire used at Nashville Speedway, and the left-side tire code was used at Michigan and Pocono. I’ll be using recent speed, practice, high-tire wear data, 1.5-mile data, and a few other things this weekend.
