By The Numbers for the 2026 Enjoy Illinois 300 will preview the racetrack, roster construction, past optimal lineups, core plays, tournament plays, value plays, and potential dominators.
This weekend, we head to World Wide Technology Raceway for the Enjoy Illinois 300. The race is Sunday at 3:00pm ET on USA. This will be the fifth time at Gateway for the Cup Series. This is the only the second time the Cup Series has run here in September, and Goodyear brought a different tire than last season. They did run this right-side tire at Iowa earlier this season. Gateway is a unique 1.25-mile egg-shaped course that is considered more of a flat-track. There is no perfect comp for Gateway; it’s a unique track. I’ll look at Gateway data, Iowa/New Hampshire/North Wilkesboro/Richmond/Phoenix data, 2026 speed data, practice, and a few other things when building lineups this weekend. With a 50-minute practice, we have a great idea of who are the strong cars this weekend.
