By The Numbers for the 2026 Pennzoil 400 will preview the racetrack, roster construction, past optimal lineups, core plays, tournament plays, value plays, and potential dominators.
This weekend, we head to Las Vegas, Nevada for the Pennzoil 400. The race is Sunday at 4:00pm ET on FS1. Las Vegas Motor Speedway is a 1.5-mile intermediate track. The best comp is Kansas, with Texas and Charlotte after that. With a little more tire wear now, I’ll even mix a little Darlington and Homestead data into my model. This is the same tire code they ran here last fall. This is the first non-drafting track without any changes from last season. Group A had a little more fall off in practice, and Group B dominated qualifying with the top-10 spots. I’ll be looking at recent Las Vegas data, Las Vegas/Kansas data, the higher speed intermediates (Kansas, Vegas, Charlotte, Texas, Michigan), practice, and a few other things when building lineups this weekend. With it being early in the season, I tend to weigh practice data a little higher than normal.
NASCAR DFS Picks: Pennzoil 400
The stages are 80, 85, and 102, which is a total of 267 laps. With 267 laps, we’re looking at 26.7 laps led and 26.7 laps completed points on FanDuel. On DraftKings, we’re looking at 120.15 fastest lap points and 66.75 laps led points. There have been at least 2 dominators in 9 of the last 10 races here.
