This weekend, we head to Sonoma Raceway for the Toyota / Save Mart 350. The race is Sunday at 3:30pm ET on TNT. We have been on the road a lot lately, and this will be our 4th road course race of the season. This is the same road course tire they’ve been running all season, and we did see some fall off toward the end of practice. This is a tough road course, but with the repave, it was a little different the last 2 seasons. Last season, there were 6 cautions for 17 laps. In 2024, there were 8 cautions for 22 laps. There were 2 cautions for 6 laps in 2023. In 2022, there were 4 cautions for 14 laps. The race winner has started 12th or better in each of the last 10 races here. The race winner has started inside the top 8 in all 4 of the Next-Gen races here. In 36 races at Sonoma, the race winner has started 15th or better 34 times. I’ll be using recent road course data, track history, practice, 2026 speed, and a few other small things when building lineups this weekend.
