This weekend we head to Austin, Texas for the EchoPark Automotive Grand Prix at Circuit of The Americas. This is the first road course of the season and the first road course race with the stage cautions and the new downforce package. We’re back to stage cautions, which will benefit the drivers that forgo stage points. With the stage cautions back, it adds another unpredictable part of this race. This is also the first road course race with the new package, and the first time we will see the Toyotas and Fords on this type of track with the new body. Practice matters this weekend, and teams had two separate 20-minute sessions, which is a total of 40 minutes for each team. I’ll be using recent road course data, road course speed, recent speed data, practice, and a few other things when building lineups this weekend.
