This weekend we head to Talladega Superspeedway for the AG-Pro 300. The race is Saturday at 4pm ET on The CW. NASCAR doesn’t do practice at Talladega, and qualifying was on Friday afternoon. There is some weather they will be dodging on Saturday, but the forecast looks better than it did earlier this week. When building lineups, I’ll be looking at recent Talladega data, superspeedway data, recent speed data, and a few other things. We can’t predict these races, roster construction is king, and don’t be afraid to leave salary on the table. NOAPS races on superspeedways have been even harder than Cup races to predict. There have been at least five cautions in 10 of the last 12 races here. The race winner has started inside the top ten in 9 of those ten races. Fun fact, Chevrolet has won 13 straight NOAPS races at Talladega.
NASCAR O’Reilly Auto Parts Series DFS Picks: AG-PRO 300
The stages are 25, 25, and 63, which is a total of 113 laps. With 113 laps, we’re looking at a potential of 50.85 fastest laps and 28.25 laps led points on DraftKings. With cautions and fastest laps spread out, we’re not worried about dominators this weekend.
