This weekend, we head to Texas Motor Speedway for the Andy’s Frozen Custard 340. The race is Saturday at 3:30pm ET on the CW. Practice and qualifying were on Friday. This the third 1.5-mile race of the season for the O’Reilly Auto Parts Series. This is the same tire code they’ve run at Texas, Las Vegas, and Kansas since 2022. The closest comp to Texas is Charlotte, but the lack of multiple grooves at Texas makes it tough to compare to any other track. I’ll be using those tracks plus Las Vegas, Michigan, and Kansas. When building lineups this weekend, I’ll look at recent 2025 speed, recent Texas data, high-speed intermediate tracks, and a few other things. The race winner has started 5th or better in 5 of the last 10 races here.

The stages are 45, 45, and 110, which is 200 total laps. With 200 laps, we’re looking at 90 potential fastest lap points and 50 laps led points. There have been at least 9 cautions in 9 of the last 10 races here; 2024 was the first time since 2018 when there weren’t 9 cautions in a race.
