This weekend we head to Martinsville Speedway for the Black’s Tire 200. The race is Friday night at 6 PM ET on FS1. This is the first time since 2021 that there wasn’t a spring race here. Martinsville is a short flat track, but it’s a unique track that doesn’t comp well with other tracks. The inside line is a massive advantage here, and while passing is hard in general, it’s even tougher to pass the leader. Most of the passing here comes on restarts and pit road. Lapped traffic is another way to pass, but the trucks have run a lot of laps under caution here in 6 of the last 8 races. There have been at least 10 cautions in 6 of the last 8 races here and at least 63 caution laps in 7 of the last 8 races here. I’ll be looking at recent Martinsville data, practice data, recent speed data, and a few other things when building lineups this weekend. Kaden Honeycutt leads Layne Riggs by 43 points with 2 races to go in The Chase.

Qualifying is on Friday afternoon, so there is a tight window between qualifying and the race. I will have projections and LineupHQ tags posted by 5 PM ET on Friday.

NASCAR Truck Series DFS Picks – Black’s Tire 200

The stages are 50, 50, and 100, which is a total of 200 laps. With 200 laps, we’re looking at a potential of 90 fastest laps and 50 laps led. With the stages the way they are, you can stay out till the end of the second stage and only make one pit stop.

As at most superspeedways, roster construction is the most important thing.
