This weekend, we head to Martinsville Speedway for the Slim Jim 200. The race is Friday night at 6:00 PM ET on FS1. This is the last race before the Championship. Corey Heim is locked in with a win. Rajah Caruth (+14), Tyler Ankrum (+8), and Kaden Honeycutt (+5) are above the cut-off line. Ty Majeski (-5), Layne Riggs (-6), Daniel Hemric (-32), and Grant Enfinger (-40) are below the cut-off line. Riggs, Majeski, and Enfinger are three of the best at short-flat tracks. This should make for an exciting finish to the Round of 8. Martinsville is a short-flat track, but it’s a unique track that doesn’t comp well with other tracks. The inside line is a massive advantage here, and it’s very hard to pass the leader. It’s hard to pass in general but even tougher to pass the leader. Most of the passing here comes on restarts and pit road. Lapped traffic is another way to pass, but the Trucks have run a lot of laps under caution here in 6 of the last 7 races. There have been at least 10 cautions in 6 of the last 8 races here. There have been at least 63 caution laps in 7 of the last 8 races. I’ll be looking at recent Martinsville data, practice data, recent speed data, and a few other things when building lineups this weekend.

Qualifying is on Friday afternoon, so there is a tight window between qualifying and the race. I will have projections and LineupHQ tags posted by 5:30 PM ET on Friday.

NASCAR Truck Series DFS Picks – Slim Jim 200

The stages are 50, 50, and 100, which is a total of 200 laps. With 200 laps, we’re looking at a potential of 90 fastest laps and 50 laps led. With the stages the way they are, you can stay out until the end of the second stage and only make one pit stop.
