This weekend we head to Bristol Motor Speedway for the Weather Guard Truck Race. For the first time since 2020, we’re back to Bristol in the spring with a concrete track. This will be the first time the Trucks have ever run at Bristol in the spring without dirt. Bristol is a .533-mile steep track with a concrete surface. The best comp for Bristol is Dover, but the Truck Series hasn’t raced at Dover since 2020. On a positive note, this is the same tire the Truck Series has run in the fall for the last two seasons here. I’ll be using recent Bristol data, practice data, 2023 speed data, and a few other things when building lineups this weekend.

NASCAR Truck Series DFS Picks

The stages this weekend are 65, 65, and 120, which is a total of 250 laps. With 250 laps, we’re looking at 112.5 potential fastest lap points and 62.5 laps led points. Over the last five seasons, there have been anywhere from 4 to 12 cautions. With the fuel mileage, you can run the first two stages and only make one pit stop here. It’s led to minimum lead changes and one dominator races. There have been four or fewer lead changes in four straight races here.
