NBA Autopick Thursdays

Thursdays are usually my day off for fantasy. I like to stay away from the high-variance days which only have three games. With such a small player pool, the odds that you and your opponent have overlapping players is drastically increased in a Salary cap game. What this generally leads to is the dreaded 3 vs. 3 (or sometimes less) matchup. I don’t personally enjoy the variance associated with putting your money on just one player’s performance on one night, but if that’s your thing – Thursday’s are for you.
Enter the Autopick. In an Autopick game you alternate picks with your opponent with no salary cap, just like a Snake Draft you would have in your season-long league. This means that you will have an entirely separate lineup than your opponent, and that the game seems to allow for a little more control than a Salary Cap game would on Thursday. I’ll be posting some Autopick lineups on occasional Thursdays moving forward, sampling the strategies on each site. Here’s an Autopick lineup for tonight’s NBA games on FanDuel. On FanDuel the thing to remember is that if you create the contest, you get first pick. If you join someone else’s contest, than you get second pick. I’d prefer it be random, but at least it allows you to prepare. Some days, depending on the drop-off in value at certain positions, I’ll only create games to get the first pick. However, today I’d be comfortable grabbing Autopick games with this lineup as well as creating them:
