GENERAL SLATE THOUGHTS
10:45 AM ET – Happy Saturday, Grinders! When I first looked at the schedule for NBA today and saw just two games, I figured it was an April Fools joke.
Alas, it was not. The NBA is taking a back seat to the NCAA Final Four tonight (and Monday), so we have just the aforementioned two games. Two of the four teams are the Heat and Clippers, too.
Frankly, this makes for a great day to simply take a bit of a breather. I wouldn’t suggest playing your normal volume on a slate that is efficiently priced and has just two games. We really aren’t waiting on much news, either. We know that Paul George is out, but now that he has been sidelined for a while, the prices have adjusted for the Clippers. Bam Adebayo is questionable due to a hip bruise, and he’s the only somewhat big name that we need to monitor (unless you want to add Kyle Lowry to that list, which I will not).
One interesting angle to take at this stage of the year is motivation. Since I don’t have much to discuss and there are only two games, let’s see where these teams stand:
