NBA DFS Core Plays LIVE: Saturday, March 18th
Andy Means (meansy53), a former Duke basketball walk-on, will be bringing Premium subscribers his top NBA DFS plays to build around on Mondays, Wednesdays, and Fridays. Everyone’s favorite, Notorious, will be guiding you on Tuesdays and Thursdays. And on weekends, the GPP maestro you all know and love, STLCards, takes the reins.
GENERAL SLATE THOUGHTS
5:40 PM ET – Edwards is officially OUT. Harden is also OUT. Now I feel smart for skimping on notes today.
5:20 PM ET – Clarkson and Porzingis are both OUT tonight. I will update tables for this now. Still no updates out of MIN.
4:15 PM ET – Tables are updated – for now presuming that Edwards won’t play. I am skimping on notes today because I fear this is going to be chaotic leading up to lock — and that will make it easier for me to change the tables as needed.
3:45 PM ET – Still no clarity on Minnesota. Al Horford and Marcus Smart are both OUT for Boston. Brogdon and White will see extra run tonight. I will run the tables now, though the lack of Minnesota news is likely going to blow this up later.
2:25 PM ET – We don’t have much for major updates, with the exception that Minnesota is now a complete mess.
Edwards – Q
Reid – Q
Gobert – Q
That’s going to be fun to untangle, and hopefully we get early updates. I am going to hold off for another hour or so before posting the tables, so look for those around 3:30 ET today.
10:00 AM ET – Happy Saturday, Grinders! We have an interesting six game Saturday slate on tap for tonight, and there isn’t a ton of injury news at first glance. However, I don’t expect that to last.
Let’s start with what we know.
Ja Morant is still suspended. Steven Adams is out. Most of the Grizzlies have been priced up now for the absences of those two players.
Tyrese Haliburton is going to miss at least a few more games. T.J. McConnell still came off the bench in the last game, but he played 30 minutes and logged a 19/3/12 line. He will be the biggest beneficiary. Nembhard and Nwora will also play more.
Anthony Edwards left last night’s game early with an ankle injury. I would be surprised if he plays tonight, but we need to keep an eye on this. Prince and Alexander-Walker will become obvious punt plays if Edwards sits tonight.
Here’s where the other drama comes in.
Minnesota is on the second leg of a B2B after a DOUBLE OT game on Friday.
Chicago is on the second leg of a B2B after a DOUBLE OT game on Friday.
Memphis is on the second leg of a B2B after an OT game on Friday.
Golden State, Philadelphia, Washington, and Boston are also playing the second leg of B2B sets.
I expect there to be some shenanigans today, just like there was last Saturday. This could easily become a massive stars and scrubs slate by the time late afternoon rolls around. I will be back later with updates, tables, and notes. Have a great weekend!
Remember, you can stay fully updated on the injury beat with our tools here at RotoGrinders. The Situation Room is your one-stop shop for that.
NOTE: The tables below are unlikely to be updated once the slate locks or at rare times when I happen to be unavailable given that it is the weekend. I will do my best to update as often as possible to prevent stale data. For the most up-to-date information, make sure you are watching Crunch Time and monitoring LineupHQ for my Core Play tags and our Premium NBA Projections.
