NBA DFS Core Plays LIVE: Saturday, October 29th

Andy Means (meansy53) will be bringing Premium subscribers his top NBA DFS plays to build around for the upcoming slate. A former Duke basketball walk-on, Meansy will also give you his thoughts on the slate as a whole from a macro perspective. On weekends, the GPP maestro you all know and love, STLCards, takes the reins.

GENERAL SLATE THOUGHTS

8:50 AM ET: Happy Saturday, Grinders! We have just six games on the slate tonight, but that doesn’t mean we are lacking for things to keep an eye out for. We had a wild slate on Friday, and a lot of the same teams that had injury news last night are on the second leg of a back-to-back today.

Here are the primary injuries that I will be keeping an eye on throughout the day:

Ja Morant – He is listed is doubtful due to illness, and for now I am assuming he is not going to play. This opens up a ton of usage for Memphis. Dillon Brooks, Desmond Bane, and Tyus Jones should soak up a lot of usage and opportunity, though it’s at least somewhat noteworthy that our CourtIQ data didn’t show massive bumps for them with Morant off the floor a year ago. Still, they are difficult to ignore with the team owning a 116 point implied team total against the Jazz.
