NBA DFS Core Plays LIVE: Sunday, March 19th
Andy Means (meansy53), a former Duke basketball walk-on, will be bringing Premium subscribers his top NBA DFS plays to build around on Mondays, Wednesdays, and Fridays. Everyone’s favorite, Notorious, will be guiding you on Tuesdays and Thursdays. And on weekends, the GPP maestro you all know and love, STLCards, takes the reins.
GENERAL SLATE THOUGHTS
4:35 PM ET – Livers is OUT. Lowry is IN. This doesn’t change too much other than maybe being a slight worry for the fringe Miami guys, but I’d be shocked if Lowry played much more than 20-25 minutes.
3:05 PM ET – Notes have been added for all players. Still pretty quiet on the news front.
2:00 PM ET – I am going to add some notes now. One note is that Kyle Lowry is QUESTIONABLE for the Heat. If he does play and happens to get more playing time (right now we have him projected IN with limited minutes), the Heat guards/wings in the table will get a bit of a downgrade.
1:30 PM ET – Initial player list is posted. I did it a bit early today, but that feels OK given that it SHOULD be a quieter night.
9:40 AM ET – Happy Sunday, everyone! We have a mediocre five game slate on tap for this Sunday, and it just doesn’t project as an exciting slate. We don’t have a lot of injury news, but here is what I plan to monitor as we go along this afternoon.
Four teams (MIA, TOR, LAC, and ORL) are all on the second leg of a back-to-back set, and these teams do tend to have a knack for giving us some shenanigans. We’ll need to keep an eye out for “rest” scratches today. Kawhi Leonard did rest on Saturday, so we should expect him to return today. Will anyone else from the Clippers rest? If so, Leonard could be an intriguing DFS play.
Anthony Davis is PROBABLE for the Lakers today, and with the team needing every win they can get, we should expect him to give it a go.
Brook Lopez is PROBABLE for the Bucks after missing their last game, and all signs indicate that he should play.
Jerami Grant is OUT for the Blazers again today. Nassir Little is also QUESTIONABLE. If he sits as well, Watford will get more run, though he isn’t a slam dunk play with Nurkic back in action and playing more.
There just… isn’t much else for early news on this slate. The “biggest” name that is questionable right now is Isaiah Livers. These tend to be slates where balanced builds become the popular route for cash games, and it’s difficult to build lineups.
We’ll see what the day brings for news and updates!
Remember, you can stay fully updated on the injury beat with our tools here at RotoGrinders. The Situation Room is your one-stop shop for that.
NOTE: The tables below are unlikely to be updated once the slate locks or at rare times when I happen to be unavailable given that it is the weekend. I will do my best to update as often as possible to prevent stale data. For the most up-to-date information, make sure you are watching Crunch Time and monitoring LineupHQ for my Core Play tags and our Premium NBA Projections.
