NBA DFS Core Plays LIVE: Tuesday, January 3rd
Andy Means (meansy53), a former Duke basketball walk-on, will be bringing Premium subscribers his top NBA DFS plays to build around on Mondays, Wednesdays, and Fridays. Everyone’s favorite, Notorious, will be guiding you on Tuesdays and Thursdays. And on weekends, the GPP maestro you all know and love, STLCards, takes the reins.
GENERAL SLATE THOUGHTS
*10:00 AM ET: Guess who’s back? Back again. The condiment-hating Noto is back. Tell a friend. Meansy declared war on all sauce-deniers and even took the debate to Twitter. Much to my surprise, I received support from two of RG’s own in STLCards and Kevin Roth. I always knew they were smarter than most, but I couldn’t quite put my finger on why until now.
Jokes aside, all the food chatter has been fun. We only have three games on the schedule tonight, so we have plenty of time for shenanigans. Here’s a question — if you could only eat three types of cuisine for the rest of your life, what would they be? While I am picky when it comes to condiments, I like all types of food. Chinese, Mexican, Italian, Indian, Japanese, Thai, Cajun, and American are all amazing. To answer my own question, I’ll go with Chinese, Mexican, and Indian food.
Now, let’s get back to basketball. It’s hard to believe how many slate-breaking performances there were. Donovan Mitchell became the seventh player in NBA history to score 70+ points and added eight rebounds and 11 assists. LeBron James had 43/11/6, Joel Embiid had 42/11/5, and Luka Doncic had 39/12/8. On top of all that, the final game of the night went into double-overtime. Klay Thompson dropped 54 points on the Hawks and Kevon Looney put in the game-winner. Amazing night of basketball.
I thought we crushed it when it came to NBA content yesterday, at least in terms of the picks that were suggested in the Expert Survey and that were tagged in LineupHQ. I hope many of you had a nice night and are ready to carry that momentum into tonight’s slate. While there are some situations to monitor throughout the day, this is certainly a much easier injury slate than we are used to.
Here are the players that have been ruled out:
Jeremiah Robinson-Earl
Khris Middleton
Collin Sexton
And the list of players that are questionable:
Robert Williams
Bradley Beal
Taj Gibson
Kevin Huerter
Malik Monk
I’ll have my initial set of rankings up in the next few hours. In the meantime, take a minute or two out your day to put Damar Hamlin in your thoughts and prayers.
