Happy Wednesday!
I hope the week is treating you well. I am soaking up the current sports landscape, as we have almost every major sport in action right now. We have football, basketball, baseball, hockey, and golf all in the same week. It’s a fun time to be a sports fan. While I’m looking forward to tonight’s NBA slate, I’m even more excited for Game 5 of the World Series. Jacob Misiorowski will look to help the Brewers capture their first World Series in franchise history.
We just celebrated my son’s 11th birthday, which is wild to think about. I remember 10 years ago when he would be in my DFS videos with me. Time goes by way too fast. I am so proud of the person that he’s become. Being a parent is so bittersweet. You have to enjoy the moments while you can because before you know it, they are grown up.
We have another house showing tonight at 7:00 PM. With it being such a late showing, we are hoping this is a couple without any kids. The only complaints that we’ve gotten about the house are that it’s too small. It turns out a 3-bedroom house isn’t big enough for a lot of families in Utah with 5+ kids. Kidding aside, we hope tonight goes well.
Slate Overview
It’s a Wednesday, which means we have a massive NBA slate on tap. As usual, FanDuel and DraftKings decided to offer different-sized main slates. While it’s a little more difficult from a content perspective, more choices in DFS is always a positive. FanDuel has decided to roll out the full 12-game main slate, while DraftKings has decided to roll out a 9-game main slate and a 2-game late slate. I’m not sure why they left the Spurs/Jazz game off both slates, but if you want to get exposure to that game, FanDuel has you covered.
We have a ton of injuries to monitor throughout the course of the day. The injury news tab of the Core Plays table is already filled with players who are listed as questionable. We also have a lot of key players who have already been ruled out, so we have no shortage of value to choose from on this slate. It looks like we will see the debut of AJ Dybantsa, which should be exciting. The Wizards are going to be a fun team this season if they stay healthy.
I’ll be on Grinders Live tonight with Dean and Kirkwood. We go live at 5:40 PM ET if you want to join.
