Core Plays LIVE: NBA DFS Picks for Saturday, March 1st
A daily fantasy sports OG, Notorious has been roaming the DFS streets ever since they were invented. He has racked up multiple live final seats and several six-figure tournament wins in his DFS career and has long been one of the top NBA DFS minds in the industry. On weekends, Taylor Smith takes the reins. Their Core Plays LIVE article will zoom out on the slate as a whole, zoom in on the best NBA DFS picks, and constantly update as news breaks. Whether you are diving into the slate 5 hours before it starts or 5 minutes before it starts, Core Plays LIVE has everything you need for your DraftKings and FanDuel lineups.
Happy weekend! It is somehow already March. That means the baseball season starts this month, while we’re only looking at about another month and a half of regular-season NBA action. This is about when things start to get extra chaotic in the NBA streets, so you’re a real one if you keep grinding this sport until the middle of April. We’re all real ones around here, aren’t we folks?
Anyway, we’re looking at a modest little 5-game main slate this evening tipping off at the usual 7 PM ET. Just a few teams are playing the 2nd halves of back-to-backs, so maybe things will be a bit calm on the news front? A man can dream.
On to the slate.

News Updates
Here’s where I’ll provide news updates.
Team Previews
Brooklyn Nets (at DET)
The Nets dropped a home game to the suddenly decent Blazers last night, and they’ll face a tough foe tonight when they head to Detroit to encounter a resurgent Pistons squad. D’Angelo Russell is likely to remain out tonight, while we’ll see what happens with guys like Cam Thomas and Cameron Johnson once they release their injury report. If everybody suits up, the Nets look pretty awful. Nobody rates out as a positive RG Value, they have the lowest team total on the slate (102.75), and the Pistons have been a far stingier defense this season. I’ll be surprised if nobody rests on the 2nd half of the back-to-back, so I’ll update the news section once we hear about potential value options.
