Core Plays LIVE: NBA DFS Picks for Saturday, November 16th
A daily fantasy sports OG, Notorious has been roaming the DFS streets ever since they were invented. He has racked up multiple live final seats and several six-figure tournament wins in his DFS career and has long been one of the top NBA DFS minds in the industry. On weekends, Taylor Smith takes the reins. Their Core Plays LIVE article will zoom out on the slate as a whole, zoom in on the best NBA DFS picks, and constantly update as news breaks. Whether you are diving into the slate 5 hours before it starts or 5 minutes before it starts, Core Plays LIVE has everything you need for your DraftKings and FanDuel lineups.
We’re looking at a nice little 4-game NBA slate to kick off the weekend, and 3 of the 4 games on the schedule feature double-digit point spreads, while the smallest spread on the slate is 7 points. Things could get ugly out there tonight, folks.
We’re all working with the same pieces though, so there’s still an edge to be found. We’ve also got a few potentially impactful players carrying questionable tags into this one, including Lauri Markkanen, Miles Bridges, and Jrue Holiday.
Let’s dive in.

Team Previews
Toronto Raptors (at BOS)
The Raptors lost a tight, low-scoring affair to the Pistons at home last night, and tonight they’ll face a more well-rested Celtics outfit in Boston. Toronto is a 17-point underdog in this one, which is the largest spread I can recall seeing so far this season. They’re still without Immanuel Quickley, Scottie Barnes, Bruce Brown, Kelly Olynyk, and Ja’Kobe Walter, and we’ll see if anyone new pops up on the back-to-back injury report later. Davion Mitchell (0.87 FP/minute) will continue to start in place of Quickley, while RJ Barrett (31%) and Gradey Dick (26.4%) will handle much of the usage. Jakob Poeltl (1.26 FP/minute) is having a terrific season, and the Celtics’ interior defense hasn’t been as impregnable as usual with Kristaps Porzingis missing from the lineup. It’s tough to get too geeked about anything here, but Mitchell still rates out pretty well as a cheap value in this role.
