NBA DFS Picks: DraftKings & FanDuel Expert Survey for Friday, April 17

Who is your favorite player to spend up for in cash games?

Notorious: LaMelo Ball
headChopper: Devin Booker
ncorfield8k: Devin Booker

What is your preferred tournament format (e.g. large-field, single-entry) to play on this slate? How do you plan to beat that field of opponents? What tactic or strategy will set you apart?

Notorious: I prefer small-field tournaments. I have been fading Kon Knueppel for the better part of a month now, and it continues to pay dividends. He continues to project well since his long-term rates are solid, but he’s clearly in a slump at the moment. He’s been held under 21 fantasy points in 5 of his last 9 games. If he struggles again, I expect Coby White to be on the floor more. I also like getting different by being overweight on Stephen Curry, who had a 33% usage rate against the Clippers the other night.

headChopper: I prefer large-field, multi-entry tournaments tonight. All of the highest-projected players are within just a couple of points of each other, and no one is projected over 50. It’s basically a complete crapshoot as to who is going to be the leading DFS scorer. I want to play into that uncertainty and build lineups with a similar core, and then I will swap out the star in each. If the core is right and I land on the highest scorer – and that player comes in at lower ownership – it should be a profitable night.

ncorfield8k: Large-field tournaments – I’ll be playing large game stacks and late-swapping any lineups in contention individually. I won’t force it, but I’ll likely leave more salary on the table than usual.

What is your hot take of the slate?
