What is your preferred tournament format (e.g. large-field, single-entry) to play on this slate? How do you plan to beat that field of opponents? What tactic or strategy will set you apart?
tcsmith031: I’ll play both single-entry and 20-max. I think correlation is generally underutilized in NBA DFS, and there are several games you can really target for stacking on this slate. UTA/PHX is the obvious choice – with good reason – but I think LAL/MEM, POR/DEN, BOS/PHI, and NYK/CHI all have shootout potential. Projected ownership looks pretty spread out among the expensive plays, so you can pair some stars in appealing game environments at likely limited ownership along with some of the chalkier cheap value.
Dean78904: I mostly focus on single-entry and smaller-field type of contests. We have an 8-game slate where the first 4 games “start” between 7:00-8:00 PM ET, and then there are 90 minutes before the next batch of games start. I say this because Luka Doncic and Jamal Murray are both questionable and in the late window of games. We may get this news early in the day, and this point is all for naught, but a good general rule when debating two otherwise similar players is to default to the later player for potential flexibility, as information is a currency. UTA/PHX is my favorite game on the board.
ncorfield8k: Large-field tournaments – It’s a large slate on a Friday night. The later games start 3 hours after the early games. Some of the field will be lazy about late swapping, which makes it even more advantageous to do so.
