What is your preferred tournament format (e.g. large-field, single-entry) to play on this slate? How do you plan to beat that field of opponents? What tactic or strategy will set you apart?
Notorious: I prefer small-field tournaments. This is a slate where I am going to eat all of the delicious chalk on the Bucks and look to differentiate elsewhere. I’ll make overweight stands on players like Anthony Edwards, Isaiah Hartenstein, and Ben Simmons.
headChopper: I’m playing 100 lineups in large-field multi-entry GPPs. I like the condensed slate, with no late games and all contests starting relatively close together. With Giannis Antetokounmpo ruled out and no clear-cut chalk at the top, I think it’s a good opportunity to pivot to various stars like Luka Doncic, Karl-Anthony Towns, Victor Wembanyama, and LaMelo Ball. These players have comparable slate-breaking upside and will differentiate my lineups from each other. I’m hoping for a slate-breaking performance out of the lowest-owned player in that group.
Dean78904: I mostly focus on single-entry and smaller-field tournaments. This slate is so huge that I will be looking to just cross out some games. I’m not saying I’ll for sure completely avoid these games, but I’m first looking at presumed blowouts with WAS/OKC and POR/DAL (especially if Luka Doncic plays) as games to mostly avoid.
ncorfield8k: Large-field tournaments – This is a great slate to almost entirely ignore the games that start at lock and hold out for late-swap opportunities. None of the early games are particularly appealing anyway, and with the NBA competing with Monday Night Football, not enough of the field will be late-swapping.
