What is your preferred tournament format (e.g. large-field, single-entry) to play on this slate? How do you plan to beat that field of opponents? What tactic or strategy will set you apart?

Notorious: I prefer small-field tournaments. This is a fun slate because we have to consider a lot of players who usually wouldn’t be viable on a large slate. The two players projecting for lower ownership who I want to be overweight in tournaments are T.J. McConnell and Jose Alvarado. They are both solid per-minute producers who could put up slate-breaking performances at their cheap price points.

headChopper: It’s a small slate, but I’m playing 20 lineups in large-field contests. I want to take a chance on some players who don’t project particularly well but have lower pOWN%. With only 3 games, all it takes is getting a little lucky and stumbling onto a bench guy who’s very low owned and hits a ceiling game, while surrounding him with highly-projected players who perform around their averages. So I’ll embrace the chalk and the top projections and then cycle through a few under-the-radar guys from each team.

TJ Zwarych: I’ll be playing just 1 lineup in single-entry contests for the small slate. I’ll be underweight on the Pacers, as they’re all projecting for a ton of ownership. As a pivot, I’ll look to get overweight on both sides of the SAS/NOP game, building around Trey Murphy III and De’Aaron Fox.

Who is your favorite contrarian play (when considering price, matchup, projected ownership, etc.) on the board and why?
