What is your preferred tournament format (e.g. large-field, single-entry) to play on this slate? How do you plan to beat that field of opponents? What tactic or strategy will set you apart?
Notorious: I prefer small-field and single-entry tournaments. With so many key players still listed as questionable early in the day, I’m not going to get too attached to any one player or any specific type of roster construction. The key to this slate is going to be flexibility, and that will likely include after lock.
headChopper: I’m running 1 lineup and entering it in smaller fields that have no more than 5 entries max—except for also throwing it in the flagship contest, just in case I hit the nuts. With 10 games on the slate, it won’t be difficult to get different. At this point, I feel comfortable playing two pieces projected for at least 20% ownership (Cade Cunningham and Coby White are my early favorites), and the rest of the lineup should naturally differentiate itself.
Dean78904: I mostly focus on single-entry and smaller-field contests. Half of this slate (5 games) starts at 10:00 PM ET or later, and there is a slew of what-if scenarios that can open up — just too many to list here. I have no idea when we’ll get injury clarity or how significant it will be, but the plan is to stress optionality just in case things break late in a way where you’re not going to regret locking up too many players too early. Translation: any tiebreakers default to later players, and I very much anticipate punting the only game at 7:30 PM ET (MIA/NYK) to buy a little more time for news to come in.
ncorfield8k: Large-field tournaments – With such a large slate and several impactful questionable tags, tonight will be a great night to plan for late swapping. There are 5 games on DraftKings and 4 on FanDuel that start at 9:00 PM ET or later, so there will be plenty of options. On slates like this, I will play the studs from early games, but largely hold off on any of the questionable early value.
Who is your favorite play (when considering price, matchup, roster construction, etc.) on the board and why?
