What is your preferred tournament format (e.g. large-field, single-entry) to play on this slate? How do you plan to beat that field of opponents? What tactic or strategy will set you apart?

tcsmith031: I’ll play a few single-entry GPPs. The UTA/SAS game is teeming with value, and it looks like good chalk given the high total and affordable salaries on both sides. The key to the slate will be how much of that chalk you want to eat. I don’t hate the idea of setting a max-2 rule for the Collier/Sensabaugh/Hendricks/Svi quartet as a way to control for ownership. I’m also interested in rolling the dice on Walter Clayton Jr. as a way to get some leverage on a more popular Collier.

Bobby Gomes: I will only be a playing a few lineups, keying in on the NYK/ATL game. The spread is close (Knicks -4.5), and it has the 2nd-highest total on the slate (241.5). I will look to game-stack it. Jalen Brunson and Jalen Johnson will be the centerpieces, and I will look for cheap value from both sides.

TJ Zwarych: I’ll be playing 150 lineups in large-field GPPs, and I want to attack the UTA/SAS game as often as I possibly can. There will be a lot of chalk, but I’ll have at least one of Brice Sensabaugh and Isaiah Collier in every lineup, while likely doing the exact same thing with the Spurs guards. Miami is the next place I’ll target, as I plan to have at least one of Norman Powell, Jaime Jaquez, and Andrew Wiggins in every lineup.

Who is your favorite play (when considering price, matchup, roster construction, etc.) on the board and why?

Robert Brown (Epignosis)

Robert Brown (aka Epignosis) was having lunch at a sports bar. A football game was on. He remarked to his wife that if he could have a second life, he’d like to be someone who enjoyed watching sports. That enjoyment began when he signed up for a fantasy football league that needed one more player. Since then, he has enjoyed playing NFL, NBA, and (especially) MLB DFS. When not teaching American literature, editing content for RotoGrinders (which he has done since 2019), or making lineups, Epignosis is rocking out or jazzing it up on one of several possible instruments.
