NBA DFS Picks: DraftKings & FanDuel Expert Survey for Saturday, February 21
Who is your favorite player to spend up for in cash games?
tcsmith031: Tyrese Maxey
Krayton: Tyrese Maxey
TJ Zwarych: Tyrese Maxey
What is your preferred tournament format (e.g. large-field, single-entry) to play on this slate? How do you plan to beat that field of opponents? What tactic or strategy will set you apart?
tcsmith031: The usual mix of 20-max and single-entry GPPs. This slate looks similar to last night’s, as we have plenty of cheap value with limited ways to spend salary. Tyrese Maxey will be justifiably heavy chalk again, and I’d like to pair him with Cade Cunningham as often as possible. I’ll likely come in under the field on the expensive pieces in the HOU/NYK game and hope that one turns into a slow-paced, defensive slugfest.
Krayton: I will be playing single-entry contests along with some 20-max contests on both sites. I love the idea of locking in both V.J. Edgecombe and Saddiq Bey in the PHI/NOP game along with either Cade Cunningham or Tyrese Maxey, filling in my lineups with some of the cheaper value we have available. I want heavy exposure to the PHI/NOP game, and getting two elite mid-tier options in Edgecombe and Bey (who both have big upside) is how I will be building lineups for my 20-max contests.
TJ Zwarych: I’ll be playing 150 lineups in large-field tournaments, and I plan to heavily stack the PHI/NOP game. I’ll likely be underweight on Zion Williamson, but I’ll load up on the cheap value from the Pelicans so that I can pay up for Tyrese Maxey in the same game (as well as Cade Cunningham and Victor Wembanyama).
Who is your favorite play (when considering price, matchup, roster construction, etc.) on the board and why?

About the Author
Robert Brown (aka Epignosis) was having lunch at a sports bar. A football game was on. He remarked to his wife that if he could have a second life, he’d like to be someone who enjoyed watching sports. That enjoyment began when he signed up for a fantasy football league that needed one more player. Since then, he has enjoyed playing NFL, NBA, and (especially) MLB DFS. When not teaching American literature, editing content for RotoGrinders (which he has done since 2019), or making lineups, Epignosis is rocking out or jazzing it up on one of several possible instruments.
