What is your preferred tournament format (e.g. large-field, single-entry) to play on this slate? How do you plan to beat that field of opponents? What tactic or strategy will set you apart?

tcsmith031: I like these smaller slates for single-entry tournaments. I’m also more open to the idea of targeting game stacks. IND/SAC is pretty clearly the best expected environment with the highest total on the board, and it doesn’t look like any of the stars (Domantas Sabonis, Tyrese Haliburton, De’Aaron Fox, Pascal Siakam) will project for overwhelmingly high ownership. Leaning into this game and coming in under the field on some of the more expensive Rockets and Nuggets is an interesting strategy.

Krayton: I have always loved the single-entry tournaments on short slates, as there are typically a few stars that come in lower owned than expected. A few players I will be overweight on include Alperen Sengun, Fred VanVleet, and Domantas Sabonis.

TJ Zwarych: I’ll just play one lineup tonight, and it’ll be a full game stack of the Houston Rockets vs. Toronto Raptors. It looks like the field wants to load up on the Rockets, Nuggets, and Kings, but I love the idea of embracing the Rockets chalk and then running it back with Raptors on the other side.

Who is your favorite play (when considering price, matchup, roster construction, etc.) on the board and why?

Robert Brown (aka Epignosis) was having lunch at a sports bar. A football game was on. He remarked to his wife that if he could have a second life, he’d like to be someone who enjoyed watching sports. That enjoyment began when he signed up for a fantasy football league that needed one more player. Since then, he has enjoyed playing NFL, NBA, and (especially) MLB DFS. When not teaching American literature, editing content for RotoGrinders (which he has done since 2019), or making lineups, Epignosis is rocking out or jazzing it up on one of several possible instruments.
