What is your preferred tournament format (e.g. large-field, single-entry) to play on this slate? How do you plan to beat that field of opponents? What tactic or strategy will set you apart?

tcsmith031: I’ll play some 20-max GPPs. Nobody will really go fully overlooked on a small slate, but I like the idea of stacking Cade Cunningham with the Hornets value. Cade has a nuclear ceiling, and he’s capable of hitting it if Charlotte manages to keep the game close. Miles Bridges may have to single-handedly keep the Hornets in the game, and his premium salaries could keep his ownership reasonably low.

Krayton: I will build my single-entry team around Bobby Portis, Damian Lillard, and Immanuel Quickley, and then I will look for 1-2 pieces that are projected to be lower owned. Brook Lopez and Moussa Diabate aren’t appearing to be as popular as I expected, and I will look to get different at the center position.

TJ Zwarych: With the Super Bowl happening, I only plan to play one lineup in single-entry contests. Even if I were running 150, I’d be locking in Bobby Portis and loading up on the Bucks as much as I can. Damian Lillard, Bobby Portis, and Kyle Kuzma are my first choices and will certainly all be in my single-entry team, but I also really like Brook Lopez and potentially even A.J. Green and/or Taurean Prince as salary savers.

Who is your favorite play (when considering price, matchup, roster construction, etc.) on the board and why?

Epignosis
Robert Brown (Epignosis)

Robert Brown (aka Epignosis) was having lunch at a sports bar. A football game was on. He remarked to his wife that if he could have a second life, he’d like to be someone who enjoyed watching sports. That enjoyment began when he signed up for a fantasy football league that needed one more player. Since then, he has enjoyed playing NFL, NBA, and (especially) MLB DFS. When not teaching American literature, editing content for RotoGrinders (which he has done since 2019), or making lineups, Epignosis is rocking out or jazzing it up on one of several possible instruments.
