Who is your favorite player to spend up for in cash games?

What is your preferred tournament format (e.g. large-field, single-entry) to play on this slate? How do you plan to beat that field of opponents? What tactic or strategy will set you apart?
tcsmith031: I’ll focus on 20-max stuff tonight. Early projections are jamming Giannis Antetokounmpo into most lineups at the expense of Luka Doncic. I’m sure Luka will still garner plenty of ownership amid his blazing start, but if optimizers are prioritizing Giannis, there’s a chance we see a decent ownership gulf between these guys. I’ll still get a fair share of Antetokounmpo, but I’d like to come in well over the field on Luka.
Krayton: I will be playing single-entry contests and 20-entry max contests on both sites. I like the idea of going overweight on Luka Doncic as the top spend over Giannis Antetokounmpo and then pairing him with a lower-owned top-tier option like Jalen Brunson, who won’t carry much ownership and has a pretty good price tag on both sites.
TJ Zwarych: I’ll just play one lineup in single-entry contests, with Luka Doncic as my preferred spend up. However, with the cheap value on teams like Charlotte and Indiana, I think I can actually get up to at least one more expensive option as well. I’ll be sticking with a stars-and-scrubs build as usual early on in the season.
