NBA DFS Picks: DraftKings & FanDuel Expert Survey for Tuesday, February 24
Who is your favorite player to spend up for in cash games?
Notorious: Jalen Johnson
headChopper: Jalen Johnson
tcsmith031: Jalen Johnson
What is your preferred tournament format (e.g. large-field, single-entry) to play on this slate? How do you plan to beat that field of opponents? What tactic or strategy will set you apart?
Notorious: This is shaping up to be a fun slate. I am going to focus my attention on cash games and small-field tournaments. Jalen Johnson is a lock for me in all contests. We have a ton of value on the slate, and he’s easily my favorite spend.
headChopper: I will be playing multiple entries in large-field GPPs. I like that it’s an 8-game slate, which gives plenty of variety, combined with the games being spaced out with only an hour from first tip to last tip. That makes it easier to manage 50+ lineups. With this many games, unless news breaks that forces a player into your lineup, it shouldn’t be too hard to get different. I don’t want any game or team stacks and may even set a max of 2 to 3 players from any one team. I’ll be overweight on some of the individual matchups I want to attack, like Jalen Johnson, Jalen Brunson, and Kon Knueppel.
tcsmith031: I’ll play 20-max GPPs. It looks like the popular build will be to jam Jalen Johnson in along with cheap value from teams like the Warriors, Pelicans, and Mavericks. I certainly wouldn’t advise taking a big stand against Johnson, but I like the idea of playing a more balanced build in lineups that don’t include him. Lineups with Michael Porter Jr. or Brandon Miller as the most expensive player are interesting for large-field contests, especially on a slate that’s currently lacking safe punt value.
Who is your favorite play (when considering price, matchup, roster construction, etc.) on the board and why?
