What is your preferred tournament format (e.g. large-field, single-entry) to play on this slate? How do you plan to beat that field of opponents? What tactic or strategy will set you apart?
Notorious: I prefer small-field tournaments. On FanDuel, I am looking to build more balanced lineups. There are a lot of strong options in the midrange. On DraftKings, I’m looking to employ more of a stars-and-scrubs approach. Jalen Smith and Moussa Diabate are both strong options priced under $4,000 (on DK). We are still waiting on some injuries that could open up more value too.
headChopper: For the most part, I’m playing small-field GPPs with single or limited entries. There are still a lot of moving parts with this slate as it pertains to injuries, so it’s a wait-and-see approach on all of that. Early on, I like being overweight on Dyson Daniels and Jalen Johnson for the Hawks while being underweight on Nickeil Alexander-Walker, Kristaps Porzingis, and the other Hawks players.
ncorfield8k: Large-field tournaments – On DraftKings, with just 4 games on the slate and 3 starting at the same time (half an hour after the first), we may have all lineups and injury information before lock. These are the types of NBA slates where late swap may not be as big of a factor and NBA DFS sims are especially valuable. I’ll have some game stacks and hope one game can separate from the pack.
Who is your favorite play (when considering price, matchup, roster construction, etc.) on the board and why?
