What is your preferred tournament format (e.g. large-field, single-entry) to play on this slate? How do you plan to beat that field of opponents? What tactic or strategy will set you apart?
Notorious: I love small-field and single-entry tournaments. The slate is so massive, and there are so many unknowns that I expect a ton of great plays to come in at low ownership. I’m going to let ownership dictate a lot of my decisions. The three players that I want to be overweight on are Cooper Flagg (FD), P.J. Washington (lock button on DK), and Victor Wembanyama.
Dean78904: I mostly focus on single-entry and smaller-field type of contests. DK made pricing a little tighter than I expected, with one glaring exception. P.J. Washington is the flat minimum ($3,000), and I assume he’ll hit every one of my lineups. Our projections team does an excellent job, but there is more (educated) guesswork being done today than we’ll see later in the season. With that in mind, I’m more likely to lean into the ownership game when making 50-50 decisions.
ncorfield8k: Large-field tournaments – I’ll look for places where minutes and usage projections are more fragile. I might play P.J. Washington in every lineup on DK and hope he comes in lower owned than expected. And as always, I’ll keep my eye on news and NBA starting lineups and stay ready to late swap.
