What is your preferred tournament format (e.g. large-field, single-entry) to play on this slate? How do you plan to beat that field of opponents? What tactic or strategy will set you apart?
tcsmith031: I’ll try my hand at a few single-entry tournaments. I’m back-loading my lineups on this slate, as the best games to target are the later MIA/CLE and GSW/HOU clashes. I may find a few pieces in the MEM/OKC game to roster, but I’m planning to largely avoid the ORL/BOS game, which features the lowest total on the board. I’ll likely have a minimum of 3 players from GSW/HOU in every lineup.
Krayton: I will be playing single-entry contests, much like I did yesterday. The pricing is definitely tighter for the playoffs. I don’t have a lot of interest in the ORL/BOS game and will be looking to build around the GSW/HOU game and then filling in from there. Amen Thompson is a player I am building around, and I will be mixing in Fred VanVleet, Jalen Green, and even Tari Eason as a sneaky GPP play.
ncorfield8k: Large-field tournaments – With rotations condensed in the playoffs, it’s harder to find reliable value. This tends to lead to a lot of balanced builds. I’ll try to get different by getting overweight on pay-up options like SGA and mixing and matching more fragile value pieces.
Who is your favorite play (when considering price, matchup, roster construction, etc.) on the board and why?

About the Author

Robert Brown (aka Epignosis) was having lunch at a sports bar. A football game was on. He remarked to his wife that if he could have a second life, he’d like to be someone who enjoyed watching sports. That enjoyment began when he signed up for a fantasy football league that needed one more player. Since then, he has enjoyed playing NFL, NBA, and (especially) MLB DFS. When not teaching American literature, editing content for RotoGrinders (which he has done since 2019), or making lineups, Epignosis is rocking out or jazzing it up on one of several possible instruments.
