What is your preferred tournament format (e.g. large-field, single-entry) to play on this slate? How do you plan to beat that field of opponents? What tactic or strategy will set you apart?
Notorious: I’ll be in my usual small-field and single-entry tournaments. My three favorite spends are Franz Wagner, Jimmy Butler, and Ja Morant. This leaves Stephen Curry as my fade, which does not feel great. However, he hasn’t flashed a ton of upside recently. I also plan to be a little different with my value plays by targeting Scotty Pippen on FanDuel and Cory Joseph on DraftKings.
headChopper: I’m playing large-field GPPs. With only 2 games, it’s going to be tough to get drastically different, but judging by the early projected ownership, fading one or both of Draymond Green and Brandin Podziemski could be a good start. Both are expected to be highly owned, and both could be candidates to bust. Maybe allocate the salary from those two spots toward a star-and-scrub combo—that alone could be enough to be unique on a small slate like this.
ncorfield8k: Large-field tournaments – It’s a 2-game slate, and rotations should be condensed. This makes it harder to build strong stars-and-scrubs lineups. Most of my lineups will likely be pretty balanced, and I’ll lean into game stacks more than usual.
Who is your favorite play (when considering price, matchup, roster construction, etc.) on the board and why?
