NBA DFS Picks: DraftKings & FanDuel Expert Survey for Friday, March 29

Who is your top contrarian play (when considering price, matchup, projected ownership, etc.) on the board and why?

Notorious: Kyle Kuzma – We currently have his projected ownership right around 15% for both FanDuel and DraftKings. This feels too low for a player who has scored at least 40 fantasy points in 11 of his last 14 games. The Wizards are going to be without Richaun Holmes, Tyus Jones, Eugene Omoruyi, and Bilal Coulibaly, yet they still have a team total that is higher than their season average. The reason is simple — they are facing the Pistons, who are 9th in pace and 27th in defensive rating this season.

tcsmith031: Stephen Curry – I haven’t played a whole lot of Steph this season, but the Warriors draw one of the better matchups on the slate on the road against a shorthanded Hornets team. The Warriors are also in a desperate situation with the Rockets just behind them in the standings, and I think there’s room for upside on Curry’s current 33-minute projection. He’s also getting awfully affordable at $8,300 on FanDuel and $8,400 on DraftKings. Charlotte is yielding the 5th-most made 3-pointers per game this season, which certainly plays perfectly into Curry’s primary strength.

eys819: Kevin Durant – I will be loading up on Thunder players, as they are underpriced, with SGA expected to be out again. Durant is my favorite way to differentiate that chalk a bit, and he correlates well on the other side of the game. KD is coming off a monster performance with 30 points and 13 rebounds against the Nuggets. The ceiling games have been a bit harder to come by with Bradley Beal and Devin Booker back on the court, but this is a nice pace-up spot against a Thunder team that plays at the 7th-fastest pace in the league.

Bobby Gomes: Nikola Jokic – Early projected ownership has the Joker well under 5% tonight on DraftKings. The good old-fashioned paying up to be contrarian as the Nuggets play the Wolves in a playoff preview. His range of outcomes is anywhere from 40-90 fantasy points per game, making him the perfect contrarian play tonight at home.
