NBA DFS Picks: DraftKings & FanDuel Expert Survey for Friday, March 8

Who is your top contrarian play (when considering price, matchup, projected ownership, etc.) on the board and why?

Notorious: Jordan Goodwin – The Grizzlies’ injury report seems to get longer and longer every time they are on a slate. In addition to all of the usual injuries, Luke Kennard is doubtful and Ziaire Williams is questionable. Goodwin should start this game and potentially push for minutes in the 30s. He has averaged a very respectable 0.93 DK / 0.95 FD points per minute this season and draws a dream matchup at home against the Hawks, who are 4th in pace and 26th in defensive rating.

squirrelpatrol: Terry Rozier – The MIA/OKC game isn’t a matchup between defenses I generally want to target, but OKC is playing at the 4th-fastest pace over their past 10 games, and this game has the 2nd-highest point total on the slate. Rozier is coming off his best game as a member of the Heat with 27 points and 11 assists against Dallas, and his price is down significantly from his price when he was with Charlotte.

eys819: Clint Capela – The Hawks have been reluctant to push his minutes since his return from injury, but I think there is a chance Capela gets a slight bump in this spot. Trae Young and Onyeka Okongwu remain out, and now Jalen Johnson is out as well. Johnson being off the floor should mean a boost in rebounding rate for the rest of the Hawks. Bruno Fernando has been seeing more time recently and looks to be the more popular Hawks big man (especially on FD). Capela is a nice pivot to get away from some pOWN%.

Bobby Gomes: Anthony Edwards – KAT will undergo surgery on his meniscus, and the Wolves have a big void to fill in his absence. Edwards has sported a career-high 32% usage rate this season, and that number could grow. Ant-Man’s early pOWN% is sub-15%, and his ceiling is as high as any player on the slate.

Who is your top overall play (when considering price, matchup, roster construction, etc.) on the board and why?
