NBA DFS Picks: DraftKings & FanDuel Expert Survey for Monday, April 1

Who is your top contrarian play (when considering price, matchup, projected ownership, etc.) on the board and why?

Notorious: Coby White – His price has come down across the industry, and he has an elite matchup against the Hawks at home, yet he’s not garnering much projected ownership on this 6-game slate. The Bulls are one of only two teams on the slate that are projected for more points than their season average. While they can’t really move up in the standings, a win tonight would give them a 2-loss edge over the Hawks for the 9th seed in the upcoming play-in tournament.

tcsmith031: Deandre Ayton – The Blazers are in a rough spot against Orlando, but Ayton still projects well. He has seen a 5% usage uptick with Anfernee Simons, Jerami Grant, and Toumani Camara off the floor, and his salaries have declined a bit around the industry. Ayton has played around 40 minutes in competitive games of late, so he offers an appealing ceiling if Portland can somehow keep this game close. Ayton could get lost in the shuffle at a premium center position with lots of opportunity cost.

eys819: Jalen Johnson – He has missed the last 6 games, but he is expected to make his return tonight against Chicago. If we do not get news of a minutes restriction, I am going to assume he is a full go. He has flashed a huge ceiling since Trae Young went down with an injury. The matchup isn’t the best against the slow-paced Bulls, but I still think Johnson has plenty of upside at his salary.

TastefulTides: Coby White – With Cam Thomas being the more popular play at a similar price tag on both FD and DK, Coby White should go overlooked on this slate. Admittedly, he has not shown much of a ceiling in the last couple of weeks, but this is a fantastic matchup for the Bulls. Coby White is a shooter, and if he finds his stroke, he can easily score 45+ fantasy points. He is not only leverage off Cam Thomas, but he is also leverage off his much more popular teammate, DeMar DeRozan.

Who is your top overall play (when considering price, matchup, roster construction, etc.) on the board and why?
