NBA DFS Picks: DraftKings & FanDuel Expert Survey for Saturday, January 13

Which useful trend or statistic stuck out most during your research?

tcsmith031: Sandro Mamukelashvili and Dominick Barlow are both averaging right around 1.00 DK FP/minute on the season with Victor Wembanyama and Zach Collins off the floor. Wemby’s absence will also open up significantly more usage for Keldon Johnson (+3.6%), Devin Vassell (+2.8%), and Tre Jones (+2.2%).

Krayton: I had to double check the numbers after seeing that Paolo Banchero is sporting a 36% usage rate with Franz Wagner, Markelle Fultz and Wendell Carter off the court. Banchero always goes a little under the radar, and he’s also averaging the same minutes per game as Giannis Antetokounmpo at 35 per game.

TastefulTides: Dario Saric is a 1.11 fantasy-point-per-minute player so far this season. The Warriors continue to be shorthanded. As long as Saric continues to start at the 4, he should absolutely crush his cheap tags across the industry

TJ Zwarych: The Wizards have an implied team total of 7.1 points higher than their season average, but no players on their team are projecting for more than 20% ownership.

Who is your top overall play (when considering price, matchup, roster construction, etc.) on the board and why?

Epignosis
Robert Brown (Epignosis)

Robert Brown (aka Epignosis) was having lunch at a sports bar. A football game was on. He remarked to his wife that if he could have a second life, he’d like to be someone who enjoyed watching sports. That enjoyment began when he signed up for a fantasy football league that needed one more player. Since then, he has enjoyed playing NFL, NBA, and (especially) MLB DFS. When not teaching American literature, editing content for RotoGrinders (which he has done since 2019), or making lineups, Epignosis is rocking out or jazzing it up on one of several possible instruments.
