NBA DFS Picks: DraftKings & FanDuel Expert Survey for Saturday, January 27

Which useful trend or statistic stuck out most during your research?

tcsmith031: Victor Wembanyama has a 32.2% usage rate this season, which is the highest usage we’ve seen for a rookie in the history of the NBA. Ben Gordon and Luka Doncic are the only other rookies in the history of the league to top 30% usage in a season.

Krayton: D’Angelo Russell has been absolutely smashing the last few weeks, and we are still getting him below $7,000 on DK. He is now averaging 1.18 FP/minute in the month of January and has put up over 50 DK points in 2 of the last 3 games. I will continue playing him until he is priced appropriately.

TastefulTides: The Dallas Mavericks are the 2nd-worst rebounding team in the league and also have a bottom-10 defensive rating. With them playing on the second night of a back to back, getting to some Kings players makes a ton of sense to me.

TJ Zwarych: The Wolves draw one of the best possible matchups against the Spurs. They have an implied team total that is 5.7 points higher than their season average, while the game has an 11-point spread. I like looking to Minnesota’s bench for low-owned value tonight.

Who is your top overall play (when considering price, matchup, roster construction, etc.) on the board and why?

Robert Brown (Epignosis)

Robert Brown (aka Epignosis) was having lunch at a sports bar. A football game was on. He remarked to his wife that if he could have a second life, he’d like to be someone who enjoyed watching sports. That enjoyment began when he signed up for a fantasy football league that needed one more player. Since then, he has enjoyed playing NFL, NBA, and (especially) MLB DFS. When not teaching American literature, editing content for RotoGrinders (which he has done since 2019), or making lineups, Epignosis is rocking out or jazzing it up on one of several possible instruments.
