NBA DFS Picks: DraftKings & FanDuel Expert Survey for Thursday, February 15

Who is your top contrarian play (when considering price, matchup, projected ownership, etc.) on the board and why?

Notorious: Anthony Edwards – As noted earlier, I love the idea of building lineups with Edwards. With the All-Star Break coming up, the Wolves have no reason to play him if he’s not 100% healthy. So, if Edwards is active, he should see a full allotment of minutes at low projected ownership. And if he’s out, we will have flexibility in our lineups. The easy pivot would be to Karl-Anthony Towns, who sees a nice boost in usage and FP/minute production when Edwards is off the floor.

squirrelpatrol: Brandin Podziemski (FD) / Jonathan Kuminga (DK) – I’ll be aiming to get as many pieces from the GSW/UTA game that makes sense in my rosters. Outside of Stephen Curry, I’ll prioritize the younger players over the veterans in case the older guys get an early start to their All-Star Break. Podziemski has the better price on FanDuel, while Kuminga is relatively better on DK, and both get to face a Utah team giving up the 2nd-most points in the NBA over each team’s past 10 games.

headChopper: Anthony Edwards – He is back on track, averaging 51 FD / 52.4 DK points per game in his last 5 games. The projection, upside, and matchup are solid, but he is currently projected at less than 16% ownership on each site. On such a small slate, Edwards can be the one who you “must own” to have any shot to win, and he jumps out at this small ownership projection.

eys819: Jordan Clarkson – With only 3 games on the slate, it is difficult to find upside that isn’t going to be heavily owned. Clarkson has elite usage on Utah’s second unit and can score in bunches when he is shooting well. The up-tempo game environment should give Clarkson a great chance at paying off his mid-range price tag at a reasonable pOWN%.
