NBA DFS Picks: DraftKings & FanDuel Expert Survey for Thursday, February 22

Who is your top contrarian play (when considering price, matchup, projected ownership, etc.) on the board and why?

Notorious: Tyrese Haliburton – I know we don’t have a ton of value on the slate, but I’m surprised we aren’t seeing a higher ownership projection on Haliburton. He’s no longer on a minute restriction and is clearly underpriced on both FanDuel and DraftKings. He has averaged 49 fantasy points per game this season (1.54 DK / 1.49 FD points per minute) and draws an elite matchup at home against the Pistons. The Pacers have the highest total on the board, so I have a hard time seeing Hali B put up a bad performance here.

squirrelpatrol: Tyrese Haliburton – Haliburton had an extended ramp-up period after coming back from injury in late January, playing under 30 minutes in 6 straight games. He’s played over 30 minutes in his 3 games since then, averaging 18.7 points and 12.0 assists per game. Tonight, the Pacers face a Detroit team that has allowed the 4th-most points per game in the NBA, and Indiana has the highest implied point total (129.0) on the slate.

headChopper: Luka Doncic – Seems like low-hanging fruit, but Luka was on fire heading into the All-Star Break, and the rest probably helps him. This game has a shockingly massive total of 245, which is 2nd-highest on the slate. Luka has a track record of strong performances against this Suns team, and there are some extra emotions between these star players based on playoff history. All this fantasy goodness comes with projected ownership of less than 3% on both sites.

eys819: Miles Bridges – He has shown a tremendous ceiling with LaMelo Ball injured and Terry Rozier, Gordon Hayward, and PJ Washington traded away. The matchup is excellent against a Jazz team that plays at a top-10 pace and ranks bottom-6 in defensive rating. Bridges is under $9,000, and his pOWN% is sitting comfortably under 10% on both sites.

Who is your top overall play (when considering price, matchup, roster construction, etc.) on the board and why?
