NBA DFS Picks: DraftKings & FanDuel Expert Survey for Wednesday, March 20

Who is your top contrarian play (when considering price, matchup, projected ownership, etc.) on the board and why?

Notorious: Kelly Olynyk – I expect Bruce Brown, Gary Trent, Gradey Dick, and Jordan Nwora to all garner a decent amount of ownership tonight, but Olynyk could fly under the radar. He doesn’t project as well as some of his teammates (at least not on a per-dollar basis). However, he should have a very high usage rate with Scottie Barnes, RJ Barrett, and Immanuel Quickley all out tonight. Olynyk has averaged 1.11 DK / 1.10 FD points per minute this season and has shown that he’s capable of scoring 50+ fantasy points.

squirrelpatrol: Tyrese Maxey – The later games may not draw a lot of attention tonight, but Philadelphia is hanging onto the 6th seed in the Eastern Conference by just a half-game so every win counts if they are trying to avoid the play-in. Tyrese Maxey ranks 2nd in the league in points off turnovers and is facing a Phoenix team that allows the 7th-most turnovers in the league. Maxey becomes an even better play if Tobias Harris (currently listed as questionable) is declared out.

headChopper: Jalen Duren – It looks like the projected ownership numbers are going to be held in check for Duren, according to our early projections. He has upside, as just 1 week ago, he put up 60+ DK points. This style of game should suit his strengths well, and the price tag isn’t going to break the bank. The 235-point total on this game is the highest on the slate.

Stevietpfl: Myles Turner – Turner draws a fantastic matchup against the Pistons tonight. The Pistons allow the 3rd-most fantasy points per game to opposing centers. The Pistons rank 27th in defensive rating and 7th in pace on the season. Turner is averaging 19.7 points, 9.7 rebounds, and 3.3 blocks in three meetings with Detroit this season. His blocks/steals upside is great for fantasy, and I want to be overweight on him tonight.
