Want to hit the nuts and take down 1st place in these massive contests posted by FanDuel and DraftKings? Who better to walk you through their favorite NBA DFS picks than Squirrelpatrol! Undoubtedly one of the best DFS players in the game today, Squirrelpatrol has accumulated 90+ Live Final seats, won the FanDuel 2021 World Fantasy Basketball Championship for $500,000, and most recently, took down the NFL Milly Maker in Week 2. Should we roster the chalk picks? How off-the-board should we get in large-field tournaments? Squirrel answers all of these questions and more below!
The NBA In-Season Tournament continues on Thursday with two semifinal games to determine the final game on Saturday. We have a rare early tip-off for a Thursday, with the Pacers facing the Bucks in the first game of the day, tipping off at 5:00 PM ET. Milwaukee is favored by 5 points in a game with an astounding 256.5 total. The nightcap features the Pelicans facing the Lakers, with Los Angeles favored by 2 points in a game with a 231 total. Both games will be played in Las Vegas, and as I noted on Tuesday, the tournament has featured starters playing increased minutes and tighter rotations similar to the playoffs.
The injury report for tonight is about as clear as it gets, with LeBron James carrying his traditional questionable tag as the only notable injury designation. I’ll be assuming that LeBron is in, which gives us limited injuries, and therefore, limited value to find, particularly with the starters playing extended minutes compared to most regular season games. Let’s sort through the slate and figure out what to do with our DFS lineups.

High Flyers
Who are the players I’m picking first for my squad? These guys are the first selections for both my cash game and tournament lineups, and I’ll sacrifice elsewhere, if need be, to ensure I get them in:
Damian Lillard
FanDuel: $9,200
DraftKings: $9,000

The Bucks have the highest implied team total I have ever seen, starters have been playing extended minutes during the In-Season Tournament, and Lillard has spoken about wanting to win this tournament to get the cash prize for the team’s bench players. Lillard is PG-eligible, a position with few starters on both sites, and is several thousand dollars cheaper than his teammate Giannis Antetokounmpo.
