Hittin' The Nuts: Squirrelpatrol's NBA Lineup Advice for Thursday, November 16th

Want to hit the nuts and take down 1st place in these massive contests posted by FanDuel and DraftKings? Who better to walk you through their favorite NBA DFS picks than Squirrelpatrol! Undoubtedly one of the best DFS players in the game today, Squirrelpatrol has accumulated 90+ Live Final seats, won the FanDuel 2021 World Fantasy Basketball Championship for $500,000, and most recently, took down the NFL Milly Maker in Week 2. Should we roster the chalk picks? How off-the-board should we get in large-field tournaments? Squirrel answers all of these questions and more below!
We’re back with another two-game Thursday slate, with Brooklyn visiting the Heat in Miami, tipping off at 7:30pm, followed by Oklahoma City at Golden State at 10pm, with both games on NBA TV. The second game of the night will be by far the more popular game with a 227-point total (Thunder favored by 3 points) compared to the Nets-Heat matchup that has only a 214.5-point total (with Miami favored by 3.5 points).
It’s strange to see the Thunder favored playing against the Warriors in their home arena, but Stephen Curry (injury) and Draymond Green (suspension) are both out for Golden State which is impacting both the line and our DFS contests tonight. There are currently zero (!) questionable players for tonight’s games, with Caleb Martin returning from injury and Curry out for the Warriors the only injury situations to be aware of as of now. Hopefully, we can keep that Thursday injury report clean without anything popping up throughout the day. Let’s sort through the slate and figure out what to do with our DFS lineups.
NBA DFS Picks: Lineup Advice for Squirrelpatrol’s ‘Hittin’ The Nuts’ (November 16th)
High Flyers
Who are the players I’m picking first for my squad? These guys are the first selections for both my cash game and tournament lineups, and I’ll sacrifice elsewhere, if need be, to ensure I get them in:
Chris Paul
FanDuel: $7,100
DraftKings: $6,700

Steph Curry absence is the biggest injury situation on the slate and CP3 is simply underpriced for a Warriors team without both Curry and Draymond Green. Paul has put up at least 34 DK points in each of his three starts this season, so even his worst start so far this season makes it worth rostering him on this slate. Chris Paul will likely be one of the higher-owned players on the slate, but with only two games, we don’t have many options and it’s difficult to see him not hitting value at this price tag tonight.
